MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

Featured Replies

My "long term average" is reading 19.3mpg :finger:

  • 2 weeks later...

Only had mine since Sunday, but im getting 37.1mpg on long term right now :)

a little bit of right foot included, but mostly cruising due to the commute to work.

going to Newcastle on Thursday - will see how it does sat at 70 with cruise control enabled :)

Got 38.1 on a thousand mile trip from france fully loaded with wife, kids and luggage and about 80 bottles of wine. Av speed was about eighty five on motorways with a/c on.

That's good to hear. I bought a 4X4 turbo estate with the main aim of a mountain biking road trip to the alps this summer.!

55-70mph about 35-36mpg using shell V power. Octy is std vrs

so on a long motorway run ill be looking at 35mpg? as im driving to oban at new years and need to roughly work out petrol costs.

whats the best speed roughly in an vrs to get good mpg and speed (if i was driving in Germany on auto bahns)

So instead of 60mph + 80mph roads I have alot more 40s/30s and two massive hills with dual carrageways which I just can't help but floor it up!!!!

Especially when someone is right on my bumper thinking he can take the mighty skoda! :P

I can't help myself either, I just have to uphold the honour of Skoda from time to time too.

I'm getting around 32mpg average, both town and national speed limit driving.

most of my driving is town driving and my average goes from 20 - 28 mpg and i only see 240 to a tank and im quite careful to not hoon it all the time.

my instant can see 50 when i rarely cruise but as i go no more than 10 miles from home i dpnt drive it much.

:o

Ive yet to see more than 260miles from a tank.. which shows as around 27mpg on the trip computer.. thats being gentle too :(

When I just drive around town with a bit of poking the throttle I get just shy of 30mpg.

On a run I easily see 40mpg.

I also compete in 12-car rallys with the local motorclub, and last time out achieved 24mpg.. and I wasn't going slowly!

Ive yet to see more than 260miles from a tank..

Crikey, I don't think I've seen anything less than 350 from mine!

what the hell is going on a few of us have very poor mpg does any one know why this could be happening.

I am lucky to see over 25MPG even when driving light footed, on driving mostly town routes and I only live 15 min from work. get about 240 on a full tank.

well mines completely standard so should not be giving more fuel although i have got an extra 20kg's in the boot in the form of a sub as the standard speakers are poor.

I have sub, amp, tool-box, and car cleaning stuff in the boot pretty much all the time :)
