Featured Replies

over the last few days me and a mate have been taking apart and rebuilding my mazda in way of doing the clutch(major head ache as its 4WD and small) and........................

she works!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D

finished putting her together tonight and had the nervous moment of trying her and she fired instantly which was a good start, next i tried the clutch pedle and it was as easy and smooth as anything so at first i thought it was broken :o but no it was just super slick 8) then i slipped her in gear and went for to find that the bite is now super low down, works awesomely and thanks to both the clutch change and the new gearbox oil the gear change is way smoother and easier now too :D

all together i am quite a happy bunny :)

yay... 1 happy bengie...

I nearly bought a lancia integrale once, until I heard it was an engine out job to change the clutch! Glad everythings ok ;)

did you have any bolts left over ?

if you did , they are called wee bolts , as thats the noise they make as they fly towards the bin

ric remind me which garage it is you work in:rofl:

i must admit i am very good at taking stuff apart and putting it back together again without having bolts left over , inc a Mazda 6 diesel engine that was apart for 49 days  waiting for a short motor , and it started first turn of the key :P

well i did have one bolt left over but i also had one hole left over too. between me and my mate we used the wrong bolt in the wrong hole :o

the bolt left over has an inch long shoulder on it and the bolt needed doesn't so we simply have excess thread somewhere but not to worry as i simply went and got another bolt :D

guess this means i can't count on you to help fit my shiny new spec stage 3 and smf then;)
