Xbox 360 wireless controller

Featured Replies

Hey guys.. just a quick question.

I currently have an old xbox controller plugged into my pc and have been using it for a few games... but find its not very compatible in some and a bit fafy to set-up the controls etc.

What benifits would i see with the 360 controller?

Would it be a matter of pluggin in and just selecting the controller in the game and it be all set-up for me.

I suppose the new "Games for Windows" series games would only support a profile for the controller.

P.s. anyone know how this thing is powered? AA batteries?? lol

the wireless controller is powered by 2xAA batteries, and connects via bluetooth

Does this mean that i could just get a normal xbox 360 controller and connect it via bluetooth to my pc????

Rather than buying the controller that comes with the wireless reciever that plugs into a usb port?

Thanks

Just read up on the internet... they're not bluetooth... microsoft invented their own connection to connect them so i would need the wireless reciever

MS sell a wireless reciever so that you can use your wireless 360 controller on a pc. You may find it easier and cheaper to buy a wired 360 controller, just plug that into a USB port and away you go.

Yeh, i dont have an existing 360 controller so would either need to by the wired or wireless one...

Wired is around £25 and wireless around £35... but have seen them on Scan for £30 so i might grab one...

yes, sorry!

I was thinking of an article I read a while ago - it was Wii controllers that are Bluetooth!
