Hi Guys,

I am the owner of an Otavia Elegance Estate TDi. I have had it from new and it has covered 78k. I am very satisfied with it as it does most things very well and it has not given me any trouble - this in its self is very boring as my previous car was a Citroen and really kept me on my toes.

I am now toying with changing it for a new model and fancy a DSG estate. I am not sure if there is any advantage buying the 2 litre TDi over the 1.9. It costs quite a bit more - is the expense woth it??

Welcome :)

TBH I would stick with the 1.9.

IMHO I think it is a better all round engine :)

Hello and welcome.

I too would probably go for the 1.9. It's a good engine.

Thanks guys - the 1.9 seems to be the favorite (no pun intended) and you have saved me about a grand. Question 2 - where can i get a cracking good discount on a new Octavia elegance estate 1.9 DSG?
