After much thought today I've cancelled the Lane End Inn and will stick to the original plan of the Toby Carvery. We can always talk in the bar section before eating and afterwards, or even chat in my small house. There's not such a rush to get there so can even talk longer at the various stopping points.

I'm definately thinking though of using your swmbo's contact for the summer meet, if thats ok Sharkrider?

we will be sorting the place for the camping meet by the end of the month, as we have enough numbers now, and I'm sure the list will grow.... we would like it in the rugby club in the centre of town, but we also have a backup place where we would get a field to ourselves that we can take our cars on......

Me and my brother are planning a meeting for the summer. I'm thinking it will be a good place to meet and have some nice food, and then set off for some driving. Will leave that for another thread.

I have asked SWMBO on more than one occasion if she'd like to come along on one of our meets and her answer always goes something like this, " Why would i want to go on one of your gay Skoda conventions with all your gay Skoda mates doing gay Skoda stuff? Ask me again and i'll pull your nipples off and stick them on your eyelids..... get a life you freaks!"

I think she's coming round to the idea though, maybe next year.... she's a bit stessed about the wedding at the moment.... lol!

:rofl: Just tell her your taking out for a meal, via the countryside. It's the first time my swmbo has been to anything like this. But I think it's because of the meal really. Hope she's ready for the 'steady' drive through the countryside.

Going to plan out something for you guys (especially those with sat nav) so if we get separated slightly on the first and very last part of the route you can find us again.

@ PP. Not to worry, we'll probably not be able to drive much anyway if it doesn't stop raining. Maybe you'll be able to make the next one in the summer.

Had a quick drive on part of the route and all seems good. So route finalised and looking forward to some dry weather, and some good company.
