On my old A4 once the TB was cleaned and refitted, all you have to do is turn the ignition to on (not started) and leave it for 30 seconds. You can hear the TB going thru its set up and once it's stopped thats it!

Is it not the same for an Octy Mk1?

Think thats a bit of an urban myth Muster, i dont think it's been confirmed that it actually works, and only way to do it is through Vag-Com.

I may be wrong though !

Johnny is right ........But iirc it will realign it's self through use but may take a few days.
