What do you call your car?

Featured Replies

Samantha, because that's what she told me her name was.

Prior to her, I'd a Xantia called Spock, cos he was a logical choice, and had green blood flowing in his veins.

friend of mine calls mine 'squinty' cos 'if you squint it looks really nice ' :| apart from that i just normally go for 'peice of ****' as in - come on start you peice of ****

"Mongrel" - a name which kind of started on here and became the nickname for the future. I still refer to any DIY/modding on her as "mongrelling". However, she may be a mongrel, but she's bred using the best bits from all her "parents" :D

I'm glad it wasn't anything to do with your reaction when you saw it

dont get me wrong, the thought of a throbbing 1.3 mpi stirs my loins.. and my bowels when i think of the handling:eek:

i called my fiesta Dave.. for some reason [unknown]

But when i get the felicia i think il call it Dave 2.

Not heard of T-cut? :D

no no, it is pink. the front bumper is new, and was painted using the paint coat, and yes, it still comes up pink. raspberry red i think they call it.

Felix is what mine has been named...

Mine was named vader by a friend and the name stuck, but i don't really refer to it in conversation as vader

lol... I can see why!!

"my car" , because I don't feel the need to personify a large lump of metal

I generally agree with Dr. Zoidberg. Since we've got two cars in the family we have to tell them apart somehow. After 18 months SWMBO knows that she drives a Skoda but doesn't really care about the model. She has noted the colour, though, so it's:

the white car (SWMBOs Octy) and the red car (my Felly) or just the big car and the small car.

I call my Fab the Faburger as in like Edinburger (Edinburgh) Dunno why lol

felicity. , or flis (pronounced fliiiissssssssss) for short. she is definately a girl cos she gets moody at least once a month. although after my adventure in the coming week she will be almost mechanically new. except for her bum. needs new dampers there.

Not very original but my old Felicia I called "Felly", she is now known as 'Pinky' on here since I sold her.

The Fabia is just that, "The Fabia", the wifes car isn't even named, Just "your car" or "my car" depending on if it's me or her speaking. :P

My dearly missed motorbike was called 'Baby' - dunno why, we just started calling her that more or less as soon as we got her many many moons ago. We saw her out on the road a while back, the wife just said, "Isn't that baby?" :)

pooky:D

watchin mear car manner or however u spell it an one of them was called pooky an later tht day in spirit of the moment said my car called pooky an it seems to of stuck lol

Clutterbuck ... Though changed to Clatterbuck now the drive chain has announced it's self !!

Derek the skoda

The Slug

It's grey, slow and leaves a little dark trail behind it wherever it goes.

lol - and I thought we were the only ones to name our cars :)

My wifes Pug 306 is called Little Plug thanks to the reg plate L - PLG my old van was called Carrie (Carry) a van can - made sense in my head - the Xantia is called Xan for short, not had it that long to give it a proper name yet.

As for the Felicia - no name yet, one will come in time, it's not injured me yet, or caused me much grief.....plus it's going to be for the wife - so she'll probably name it at some point. Cripes, we're due to have our first baby in less than 9 weeks and we can't even name it yet (not sure if it's a boy or girl).

If you've read right through this thread, you'll know that some o us don't name our cars, but wait for the cars to tell us what their names are.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

What makes you think I'm joking? About half the cars I've owned never got names, because they didn't tell me what their names were.

Well, just before the appoitment with the midwife the Skoda got named by my wife - Flick! Don't ask - no idea why, but it's now called Flick!
