Hi Darren

I've recently had the same done to mine....the exhaust sounds and looks great

The only problem I had was a clearance issue with the twin tail pipes and the rear bumper. I resolved it by lowering the front silencer mounting brkt by 1/8" and the rear brkt by 3/16". I also restricted the side to side movement of the rear silencer, by cutting a peice of 1/4" thick rubber sheet into a small "V" shape and securing it inside the STD rubber mounting.

Anyway, best of luck to you and hope it all goes well.

PS would be interested to know how our power and torque figures compare ;)

No problems that i can see sofar with the exhaust so far (but it is dark) and as far as power is concerned it looks like we have pretty much the same. 246bhp and 253lb torque. How true these results are i'm not sure but the change in the overall drive is simply chalk and cheese. Unfortunately i'v got a slight problem with the clutch slipping now so i cant boot it too hard. I'm finding it all but un-useable in 1st now:D The sound of the exhaust is very pleasing, not too noisey at all (so far) and the delivery of the torque from the remap is simply breathtaking. I was sat doing 140mph at one point untill i realised just how stupidly quick i was going. All in all its on a par with taking the car into skoda and upgrading to the much higher spec model.

Glad your pleased mate, but I wouldn't broadcast comments like that....unless of course you forgot to mention the private runway you were doing it on!!!

Darren

Great result....identical to mine, pity about the clutch though !! touch wood I've not had any problems yet but maybe thats down to the fact its only done 16K.

I know what you mean about wheel spin, even with the ASR on mine will easily spin the wheels on these crap winter roads in 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Mines been done almost a month and so far the fuel consumption looks to be really good. I'm having a lot more fun with the car but finding the mpg is much the same as it was :)

Well let's just hope I get them sort of figures on Monday :)

(Without clutch slip though :D )

I must say though, i'v never had such good results on the road from just a remap. Never mind the figures on paper because they may be faulse but you really cant argue with the performance that the car actually does give over standard. I'm constantly having to back off the throttle now. Where as pre re-map i could push it to go fast i now find myself holding backso as not to go too fast. Yes i have just got back in the house after taking it out again and yes the money spent was well worth it.

Before I say anything, I'm not having a go, just curious.

With just a remap and an exhaust, and no other mods at all, you have 246BHP and 253 Lb FT torque ?????????????????

If its true, then well done, but............................................????

I have been told even after fitting the FMIC & Custom stage 2 it will be 230-240?

We will see!!!

I'v had the work done to improve the car. Not so as i can swing my **** around saying i have the best power. To be honest i dont care if the dyno had said 26bhp and 50lb torque, the car really does feel so much better. This is why i also said that i cant take the curves to be true. This may be the same as everyone else that has had a remap and then it could be better or worse. Doesnt matter either way as i'm very pleased.

Please do not take these question out of context, as none are directed at you or Mike personally.

As Bengie tried to explain earlier in this thread, he and many of us have done a lot more than just a map and exhaust and cannot see those type of figures, and as explained without other mods the KO3s is very hard pushed not to run out of breath before hitting those figures, hence the questions as to how they are arrived at.

Yes, I agree that its how the car runs that matters, but it would just be nice to see the car on other rollers for a comparison????

I'm wondering if its the 2.75" exhaust thats making the difference ????

When I spoke to Jabba about ordering a std Milltec turbo back exhaust I was told they now recommend the 2.75" (IHI turbo) version, for KO3S equiped cars.

With the new 2.75" (KO3s compatable) down pipe and cat, jabba reconed it gave the best results with a custom remap !!!

Mind you, at well over £800 it should be good

Honestly mate i'm not taking any of your disbelief on the apparent dyno results to heart and if you have another rr day in Milton Keynes or close to it then i will be more than happy to enter it onto the rollers.

Darren

I've had a fair bit of grief off members on here saying a Ko3 turbo canot produce 250 bhp, but all I can say is WOW after my Jabba remap and a couple of other things. Many think the Jabba rollers over read but the important thing is the before and after results. I know mine is like a different car now and keeps up with a 255bhp Alfa 147 GTA yet people still say there is no way my car produces 250BHP.

Enjoy your new car!

Two different cars,identical outputs....Spooky

Two different cars,identical outputs....Spooky

Not identical but but theres only 1bhp and 1lb torque in it. Seeing as the cars both have exactly the same spec i'd expect this anyway from a custom map. Bloody clutch is getting worse already though, and i cant afford to replace it untill the new year. Does anyone know where is the cheapest stroke best place to get a new clutch fitted and i am assuming that i'l also need a new dual mass to go with it?

G60 conversion...? (back to Jabba maybe as they do it)
