Just thought I'd post a welcome note. I have an un-modded skoda Octavia VRS in black. 03 plate and 42000 on clock. It has been a wonderful car and I am slowly beginning to think that I will never be able to get rid of it as it performs all it tasks with so much joy. It has recently done its first forage into Europe driving down to Bordeaux. Covered 1700 miles in 5 days and spent 26hrs actually driving. Totally relaxed and averaged 68mph and returned 36ish mpg. At one point saw 40.4 never been seen before. Engine must be loosening up nicely. Soon to have it chipped though any recommendations?.

Main reason for buying it new all those years ago was to give my Corrado VR6 a well earned rest and the fact is; the skoda is equal to the corrado in so many ways i can see my buying something else in a few years to rest me skoda.
