Because you looked at a Cayene and they are FUGLY! As such no smiling is to be permitted :rofl:

I know - it's butt ugly and stupid and socially unacceptable.

But still rather nippy for a FUGLY 4x4:D:D

allegedly they are hugely fast, so you should have fun :)

I've been in a Cayenne S , and something that large shouldn't corner so well.

It wasn't hugely rapid , though obviously the Turbo version will fix that.

Bloody ugly things though , and IMO it's daft to spend that much on a car

honestly don't think it's that ugly; can certainly think of worse looking cars :)

but and the end of the day it's gonna be comfy and quick with more than enough space for the kids etc :D and as far as cost goes, that's so very relative - what's daft to one is going rate to another and chump change to yet another. but it's still an SUV :P

Ssangyong Rodious......

Don't listen to them, I like how they look - who wants an uber-SUV that looks like a brick - RR etc.

On hols in the summer I saw a German registered Cayenne GT600 - that was sweet, bi-turbo and 600hp! 2004 Gemballa 955 Cayenne GT 600 Aero 3

I only need one kidney, don't I?

Ssangyong Rodious......

Arrrrgh!!!!! you said it!! Noooooo

I'll have nightmares now :(

Well tomorrow I am making the trip to Woking to have a look at this

I've got a buyer for the Porsche too so if the car is right and more importantly the price is right I should have a nice Italian car in a few days:D

Part time mafia Boss here ;)

Didn't like the Cayenne Turbo then?

I loved the one i spent a bit of time with except how juicy it was.

But was always amazed how something so big went round corners the way it did.

I love the Quattroporte but wouldn't go hear one,the gearbox from what i've heard is horrible, unless your getting one of the brand new ones.

For that sort of money i'd be getting a BMW M5/RS Audi/AMG Merc as parts and servicing are epic on a Maserati.

Look forward to hearing what its like anyway Heather.

Running costs luckily aren't an issue for me plus it's less than a year old, has under 4K on the clock and I'll only have it for a couple of years so hopefully there will be no shocks.

As for the other options you mention, I'd never consider owning a BMW, nothing against BMW drivers I just don't like them (the cars not the drivers). I considered and Audi RS but didn't really do it for me and I seriously thought about the AMG E class estate. The Quattroporte gives me the four doors I crave whilst still giving me some of the fun that the 911 gave me and there is room for my son to be comfortable in the back.

erm...I just changed my mind...:P :rofl::thumbup:

A touch late, but personally I think the best Cayenne is the VW Taureg V12 TDi.

Phew, saw another post of yours I agreed with as well, but put it down to the fact I was on my third glass of red and refrained from comment :D
