New Skoda Website

Featured Replies

Just had a quick look at Skoda uk website, seems they have upgraded it

Škoda

Have a look.

Thats much better, it's got a proper configurator now!

I like the moving cars diving under braking, pity the wheels don't move tho

That's much better, although the configurator doesn't seem quite finished. It shows just how expensive the new Fabia is, especially when you add a few options :(

Also I noticed there's no longer the option of a Sport trim on the Octy...

You can 'build' a Candy White vRS though ;)

So you can...

Although I think I broke it when trying to add dual zone climate :(

They appear to be on a production line so no moving wheels but still body movement according to the conveyor action

When did they change it

Škoda

Reminds me of one of my duaghters computer games......

almost £16k for a fully loaded sports one? thats not good..

You half expect it to only work with a Wiimote pointed at the screen

A big improvement over the old site

Those cars nose down alot when they brake, not sure I want a new Skoda now

The used car section keeps freezing ........and boy is it slow

Obviously they haven't fitted the shipping chocks on the suspension. They also like to leave them in at PDI too

About time they got a decent website. The old one was a bit dire although the new one won't let me finish configuring my car :(

(No option for uprating that jelly suspension either ;):D)

Maybe these are Skodas for the American market hence the really soft suspensio

just played with configurator, when specced up , press double arrows at the top, and nothing happens. :(

thought it was complete rubbish till I noticed 'no-script' had blocked most of the site.

Didn't think much of it unblocked either. Flash yuck.

Oh dear thats terrible  I hope they didn't pay the designer too much, looks childish and garish. Not good.

I think the new Fabia is just as good value as the old one.

If you look into it, the Fabia 1 is similar in both spec and price to the old shape Comfort/Ambiebte and the Fabia 2 is comparable to the old shape Fabia Elegance. In essence all they have done is remove the poverty spec classic and added a super elegance spec to the line up.

Yes but when new models are released you expect the level of equipment to improve but not at a hike in price which is what they have done.

For the price of a Fabia Sport 1.9TDi with a few options you could have a Fiesta ST.

That has got to be one of the worst excuses for a website I've seen in a long while, totally pitiful!

I managed to break the 'build your car' section too :(

So I didn't get to finish adding all the toys to 'my' Octy vRS TDi Combi in Candy ;)

Just gone to have a wee browse on the Skoda website and what a change. Very flash. Bit like the Honda site if you know it.

On balance I think its better and more useful although it's a bit harder to find what you want at first. There are some good images of the new fabia estate in dark blue - makes it look stunning!

There's some annoying bugs I think:

1. Select the Octavia Estate and it then goes to a range of Hatchback trim variants.

2. Try finding anything about the Octavia Scout - I struggled to find any pics.

3. Try using the feedback page - I can't find the 'submit' button!

p.s. Agree the Fabia estate looks very smart.
