New Skoda Website

Featured Replies

There's a typo or two in there somewhere as well. Totally unacceptable on a website.

I would imagine the IT bods will have it mended soon...........

Middle of next year perhaps??

Just been on there myself - don't like it much, the only decent thing is the car configurator, but even then I speced up a New Fabia and finished the process it wiped all the options I selected.

Is the Octavia VRS Micro-site still avilable? I couldn't find a link!

Here.... Skoda Octavia vRS

The configurator's buggy as hell.

I only added 17" upgrade to an elegance and it crashed!

Hi " childish and garish" for me too. Not done Skoda any good I think. Opinions will differ though !!

Now on the website is a reindeer powered snowster!!!

/buys

:)I like the site, but feel it's a shame that according to what I read in the history section, Skoda UK are obviously pretty embarrassed about the cars made between 1960 and 1990.

Odd, considering that they based a whole advertising campaign around the fact that that era wasn't much to envy...

:)When you consider the company's circumstances and budget at the time I believe they did very well indeed. The RWD Octavia, Felicia and rear engined models may have been cheap and basic, but they offered Czech engineered, solidly built, fun, characterful cars that did excactly what they were designed to do.

:DI admit to being totally biassed as I love the old heaps and I'll never be embarrassed to say so!

Agreed

It's a pitty most people seem to ignore this

I agree totally:)I remember the old Skoda U.K magazine where people used to write in about how reliable these cars were and their escapades in them.Required reading fr me as a kid. Tuned Rapid or XR3i? No contest:thumbup: Anybody got any they don't want? Email privately on this site.

Seems they've really "sorted" the site now. Obviously got true web designer experts working on it!

They've fixed the "Configurator" by removing it altogether.

The menu on the left seems to have "Fabia Sport" at the bottom for every car... which when selected takes you to the "Pats on the Back" section.

The "Pats on the Back" button does nothing...

Pure Quality! (just hope my new car turns out better)

£20 for the smoking package? :D The price we have to pay, nice site, it has worked fine, apart from I can't afford the £9,280 car - and thinking about it, it would die up here very quickly, as I don't think it had good enough ground clearance. Everyone talks about lowering the car, we need to raise the cars up here.

Still, we can play with the car config, and there's some nice colours they offer too! I like the little bit at the end

Have another go.

You can’t always be right first time. You can start again from scratch if you like. Make sure you don’t get addicted though. And just think how much more fun it would be to test drive one for real…
