Go for a look and a test drive. Ater all whats the harm in a little look.

With it being a hot hatch model it migh be worth seeing if it was pranged/repaired

Also see how much it will cost to insure and things if you are really serious about the car.

I love them.... BUT they are still a clio.

So expect, dodgy electrics, creaks and a turning circle of about 20 meters.

They are supposed to be proper fun tho!!! :D

Wrong time of the year for putting a hot hatch

through its paces TBH, with all the slime on the roads :thumbdwn:

If you like it, buy it. You'll regret not doing it much more than if it turns out to be a bad car & you're forced to get rid. If you don't get it you'll always wonder 'What if I'd bought that mental Clio?...'

I got rid of my Furby for a silly car and I don't regret it one bit - despite the Roadie's failings! Some cars make you feel special and I suspect the Clio V6 will be one of them - drive it and see if your car utterly underwhelms you afterwards - if it does then you'll know it's right for you

Steves right

If you can afford one to buy and run, provided the girlfriend doesnt get ****ed off with the car that gets more money spent on it than she does.

Then why the hell not.

just seen a MK2 Clio V6 in the supermarket carpark

:jawbig:  :rubchin:

i wonder how much they are ?

about 16k at the moment but i would rather have the mk2 better looking and more POWER. i think im gonna keep the fabia for a bit longer and maby look at a mad car some time in the summer. i could do something silly and get a alfa 147 GTA 3.2 v6

Turning circle of a super tanker, and the same fuel consumption!!!!!!!!!

Its French?! Least at the mo you have Skoda's reliability.

Though you have got to have one mad car once in a while, it might be worth putting up with poor reliability and cost for a bit!

I had 2 clio's in my younger days (M reg RT and P reg RSI).

NEVER again would I buy a renault. Repair bills extortunate, everything breaks regularly, and they have the cheek to try and charge for known defects (suspension bushings on both cars failed - only £400 odd to fix unless you complain it's a common issue)

The 1.8 RSI was nice though, and would have looked great in 17" Wolfrace Genesis alloys had I have had the cash.

Wasnt half scary though in the wet!

I had a Clio 1.9RLd bought it brand new for my20th birthday, did 65,000miles in 4 years  all it needed was a service every 5000miles no problems at all.

Still see it now around and about with 210,000miles on it.

That reminds me. The RSI drank oil (5ltr every 1k miles!) and needed a service something stupid like every 6k.

Nice car for thrills, but f'ing expensive to run! Like my Octy 2, would only run on super unleaded. £28 a tank load, ahh those were the days......

Helped me pull the Mrs tho. Happy memories that car :D
