What sort of metal tubing will i need?

as im not going to be using the car for compotition i just want it for show, it will be stickered up like a saftey devices one. just dont fancie a H frame idea

Just get some plastic tubing and paint it

If its just for show then I would get 54mm ID heating pipe and have it coated once formed into shape, but be aware if you have an accident it could cause you more harm than good!

Exactly what he says - In the interest's of safety I'd advise against it.

In an accident there is a high chance the "fake" cage could kill you as it deforms and breaks and then cuts/skewers you.

All in all not good, so I'd either stay totally away from the cage idea or get it done properly if you really want it.

If it's just a show cage, get it made out of plastic piping, paint it and just put it in the car when you get to the show.
