Hadn't seen that one, assumed you were on about the clarkson one. Tiff certainly shares his down the nose attitude towards diesel's. Their appreciation is soooo begrudging, they must be dying to slag them off.

compare the new mini to the real mini and there is no contest,my dad had a clubman 1275gt with big carbs and racecams on it,now that was quick,not as quick as a vrs tho.that might have been a more suitable opponent,or if they put it up against the top of the range new mini,but that is in a different price range

yes carbs,(carburetors)its what was around before injectors,notice in my post i was talking about the original mini

But there again it could have a BDA conversion

it had a kent 266 camshaft,you do realise im on about an A reg car here,people seem suprised to hear about carbs and cams

actually ure right it was his morris 1000 that had cams:(,

i feel like a **** now lol,

still had a weber carb on it tho,did have twins but it used to drown the poor thing.
