Today to my surprise my Skoda Octavia L&K windscreen/ windshield develop a 8 inches crack on the driver side. There was no rock or something else hiting the window. The crack just apear there like a flash.

The car is 2002 and only has 7,500kms.

I have read on other forum that this problem is happends regular on Octavias due to flexing of the chassis, bad quality glass, etc, etc.

Do anybody else here have experience similar problems????

Recently had my windscreen replaced after a small stone chip developed into a crack.

I must say i was surprised that it cracked so easily.

I'm sure someone posted recently on Briskoda about windscreen cracks.

Use the search facility at the top right of the screen and carry out a search using windscreen as the keyword. You will find quite a few reports of similar failures.
