looks like a good clever idea , but is it safe with regards side or frontal impacts and will the emergency services be able to access the occupants

where do you stick the thieving ch@v scum's head with that? i like my door as the door and pillar make a great absorbtion zone to stick the theiving scums head between and to add and release the pressure with the door.

the Z1 isn't quite the same as you still have half a door in the way but along the same lines

Don't like it at all myself. What happens when your battery goes flat? And in the winter all the wet crud on the underside of the car is going to drip straight onto your lovely door cards.

Just a gimmick that hasn't been thought through properly IMHO.
