Hello

I have a 55 plate Octavia Elegance Estate 140TDi DSG, and was intrigued by a thread on the site, about the ability to swich off the '3 blink indicator' function.

If this is so, I would be grateful for the step by step guide on how to do it (if its possible on my model).

Anyway, after many years driving, many different cars, I went mad about 10 years ago and bought a early Fabia. Absolutely stunned by its qualities, and had to have Fabia 100hp diesel when it arrived.

If I thought the early Fabia was good, this one was brilliant, so after three years bought a Octavia, and then my mark 2 estate mentioned above, and have had tremendous service from all these cars.

Please let me know if the 3 blink indicator can be switched off.

Happy New Year.

welcome to briskoda

Welcome to briskoda.

If you have the maxidot display, then the ability to turn the function off is in the menus. If however you dont have a maxitdot display, a visit to the dealer or someone with VAG-COM will be needed.

welcome along, the above is correct and feel free to look in the vag com section for someone close enough to you as everyone here is so helpful!!

Hello Again

Thanks to MANNYO for the reply, but please explain to this very slow Bunnycruncher, what MAXIDOT is?

Welcome :)

Hi and welcome to the site

if you search Maxidot you will get all the info you want and a lot more

below is a quote from MAC1961 in one of the posts (Still cannot quote between different posts..sorry)

Maxidot is standard on the L&K models, but can be specified for other ranges. It sits between the tacko and speedo, but instead of using just the top half of the panel, it uses all of the panel. It also enables you to customise the car to your own preferences, such as auto-locking doors; adjusting the coming/leaving home lights, etc.

Included in the luxury pack when I bought my Octavia Elegence 1.9TDI

Cheers
