Is it worth buying seat covers so the original seats don't stain wear/rip?

IMO no, my mom still does this, she buys a 2 - 3yr old car, puts seat covers in the car and then proceeds to run the car into the ground! but at least it has the best seats in the breakers yard!!

You loose enough cash on a car as it is so enjoy it, don't go thinking about the next owner, just look after it and keep it clean so YOU have a nice car to drive around in.

I agree - what's the point in sitting on horrible seat covers all the time you own the car! Bit of upholstery cleaner should keep the seats in decent condition if you're a dirty person
