programming skoda

Featured Replies

I just lost all chip-keys to my Skoda Octavia 97 engine AKL 1.6.

Luckily I found the OBD-to-com-usb device. But no one know how to use it :)

- how to program the immobilizer? or just disable it?

- in worst case, what eeprom (manufacturer, part number) installed? how to program it properly?

The car is old, I have no info, no codes etc...

- which programs and adapters I should use to do it?

- mb someone have dump of chip to program it directly?

Key programmming procedure with VAG Com through 17 intrument panel is here:

Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: 4-digit Key Matching Info

For the SKC there are programs such as VAG Tacho which claim to be able to get the code from the panel and you can also use it to program the keys.

To get a key, either your Skoda dealer who should be able to obtain the key number and get one cut, a new lock set but you will have to drill the ignition as it needs to be turned to the first position to release the clip that holds it in or if the door lock barrel can be dismantled get a locksmith to pull it apart decode the key number and get a key cut.

If you have the SKC and a working mechanical key there is a way of manually entering the code through the dash buttons to allow the car to start and run.

The problem is that you need to be able to turn the ignition on to get any information out of the car, so it will need to be key first and programming later.

If immobilisers were easy, there wouldn't be any point in having one.

Ups.. just call Moscow Skoda dealer -- they want about $100 and 2 month to deliver 5 number of SKC...

Well, I understood that its not easy to disable immobilizer, but there should be easier way to flash microscheme, than to wait for spring... ;)

Something "backdoors", may be?
