MP3 lead for Mk2 Octy

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know of a lead which will allow both the MP3 player and the 6 disc changer to work in conjuction for a Mk 2 Octavia?

You could get the Denison and then graft the CD changer wires onto it before the control box using a switch.

This switch would need to totally isoloate the two systems and latch such that you could flick a switch to move from one to the other.

Not really sure why Dension etc haven't done thin tbh.

Many thanks

Do you know anyone that could do this for me - or somewhere I could send the cable to be done before fitting?

Also is the Denison cable the same one as Skoda supply or is this something different?

Denison now supply a ready made solution for this. Try the search it has been discussed to the end already.

Will do thanks

may be on the wrong track here, but you can activate the aux in so you can still have the 6cd changer and a aux in which only costs a few quid to make/install.

Thanks, that'd be great! But could my dealer do this for me? Or have you heard of the Denison cable that VrsStu mentioned above? I searched for this without any luck.

The denison will allow you to control the iPod from the head unit and connect via the dock.

The aux would be a headphone out only and isn't in all Mk II Octy head units. You would need an audience or stream MP3. A normal stream doesn't have this feature.

Anyone who can do basic electronics and solder could do this mod to the cable to allow you to use both, however if denison do it already you might as well jut buy that one.

Products

That would do it all for you from the factory :)
