It still looks like a Passat to me. I don't think it's different, or special enough to command the extra money. I mean you can tell the difference between an E class merc and a CLS, but this is just expensive Passat.

Oooh I like that - know what you mean though. It does have quite a different back end mind you. Front reminds me of a Phaeton, which is fine by me

Is better looking than the Passat, but thats it, rear lights are to big, looks contrived, like it is trying to hard, the Merc just looks right

The front is very Mondeo, but thats no bad thing. The car just ooozes class. I've never really liked the B6 Passat, but that really does look the business!

Is it a saloon or a hatch though??

I'm sorry but I don't like the look of that at all. Maybe when they bring the sports model out it'll be better. Normal CLS looks ugly too apart from the AMG or Brabus version.

saw my first one of these today, it passed me slowly in traffic ont M'way. All I can say is wow, it is a very, very good looking car. Shows up the A5/3 coupe/CLS for the fat, lardy tarts they really are.

More phaeton than passat imho. Just a shame about the crease that goes down the flanks

Oh, I forgot about this thread. the Passat CC has actually grown on me now, it's a really good looking car. I still haven't seen a real one yet though.

imho the passat looks less like the tudor than the a5

agreed, but all the pictures of the tudor are from the Mk1 fabia/octy/superb era, with the very chunky front end

who knows what a Mk II tudor would have ended up looking like ?

CC my ****. The roof doesn't fold down either whatever daft name they give it, I like it better than the normal passat and the cc's direct competitors

Seen a good handful now and it looks excellent

There's a VeeDub dealer just down the road and seen the demo a few times...

It really does look nice, got to admit:O

But a real Coupe only has 2 doors.The Skoda Rapid was a real coupe - sloping rear and 2 doors, the Skoda Tudor is a real Coupe too, as was the Ford Caprick.

The term Coupe dates back to horse drawn carridges and can also mean a car body that doesnt have a b pillar section. Although the Passat CC has frameless doors it still has a B pillar.

Very nice indeed, I like what they have done with it. Next stage on in technology as well.

I love this car but it only has two rear seats and I have 3 children.....suppose I could always sell one on ebay.

Maybe one day there will be an option to replace the two rear seats with a bench... dont VW know 3 is the new 2.

Buy a normal Passat then

i like it.... but i think it looks better in darker colours.....

I think it's a nice looking car and is sufficiently different from the regular, full strength Passat.

Maybe they should have called it Passat Lite or even iPassat rather than Passat CC.
