whos else thinks this car has done more mile than claimed

Featured Replies

Holy crap, that's some serious wear-and-tear!

I don't think the bolster damage is necessarily down to high mileage tbh, looks torn rather than worn.

Its on the v-car anyway... and without full history I think I'd probably avoid it tbh.

another thing i personally its had a front end bump why has it got the washer jet front bumper but no OEM xenons because standard fabias with out xenons didnt come with it

i agree , the paint on the roof does look dodgy, but could be just the water

Why is it on eBay car auctions you always see that the bids are put by someone called bidder followed by a number, its never a mix of user names like you see in some auctions?

this is the sort of car I'd avoid like the plague (I think it looks badly repaired, hand painted metal, and possibly a new dash.... (unreal miles? although a fat person could cause that sort of seat damage) no skoda service history....)

unless of course it does sell for about £3k..... that wouldn't be a bad price....

Normal headlamps with washers Was an optional extra IRELAND - I have them on my combi - don't know about UK. However, I'm not saying that is the case with this car.

1/ The seat is torn, not worn.

2/ Its multi coloured red, so not been matched very well.

3/ The bumper (re washer jets) probably came off a donor car, nothing wrong with replacing things with higher spec IMO

4/ Mileage iffy? could VAG-COM get the mileage off the ECU?

A simple check with VAG-COM would reveal the true mileage stored on the ECU.

Edit - beaten to it

4/ Mileage iffy? could VAG-COM get the mileage off the ECU?

Yes it can in Kilometers - now someone will say that has been changed as well. As a point of interest, the original owner may have picked headlight washers as an option, or it might have been one of these odd ball build-state that ends up being delivered to the dealer. Go on someone - check it out and let us know!

I see that the reserve price has been lowered at some time.

Does look a bit sorry for itself :(

Will be interesting to see if it does sell. Cat-D in pretty poor nick?

Steve

I think part of it is my nicked vRS, as it was thought to be in that area..........
