I sort of know that guy - that's Bruno from the GD Sport tuning company in Belgium.

His TDI boosts 200+ hp and has a Golf Rallye AWD system fitted underneath, and of course a Sachs race clutch for those perfect getaways at 2000rpm...

There's no beating a clutch-dumping 4-wheel drive off the line.

I'll check that too if you want, to see if it started life as a TDI 4motion, but I'm pretty sure the Haldex was dumped (if it was there in the first place) because of the excess torque of a 200+ hp diesel (525 Nm according to the Kempower RR) that would probably snap or twist the drivetrain.

It's even beaten an RS6 over 300m...

Having said all that, what's the problem with it possibly being a TDI 4motion? Don't VW sell those in the UK?

So with a bit of daring that's chipped over 200hp easily, although I believe that Bruno used the 130hp as a platform. Add a race clutch and a tougher gearbox and you're off.

Right, know some more now. It's the PD150, still using the standard Garrett turbo, standard gearbox (but with a shortshifter and Sachs clutch) and standard Haldex system! So you might change that on the 172 forum...
