Rear Wiper Slowing down until Dead

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have noticed one or twice that my rear wiper has slowed down and died.

Now I have had the rear washer pipe popping out and took the back panel off and reattached it and also checked all connections for the motor etc.

First time this happened I took the rear cover off and checked all connections and started it again (PERFECT)

So did think much off it.

Maybe the wiper was to dirty or needed replacing looked fine as the Fabia is a year old.

Same thing happened last week but rectified itself.

Has anyone heard of this, the car is A1 bar the washer pipe and the rear wiper.

And my dealer is a muppet so would rather maintain the car myself.

Mine did this and then it died, when i replaced the motor the original showed signs of rust on the motor body which i presume finally killed it.

If we are talking furby..... expose the offending pipe and trim a small piece off the end... at the end of the motor is a large flat panel, losesen this but dont remove and squirt wd 40 under it...... reassamble all parts... if arm stuck give it a gentle wiggle whist switched on to help free it....

Hello,

How do you remove the tailgate inner panel, so that I can expose the internals?

Thanks.
