What does the cruise computer say?

Featured Replies

Hi everybody. I am the beginner with Octavia (O1 GLX 1.9TDi, 2000). Could someone explain to me what does the cruise comp say? I mean all the staff with mpg, time and so on. I am not familiar with those indicators because it is different than the continental equivalent. Cheers.

The only difference should be that Mainland Europe is Litres and UK is Gallons, time is same, distance is same etc, the O symbol with the line through it means average. I am sure someone will explain this better though...........

We have miles per gallon, whereas in europe you have litres per 100km. Basically the higher the miles per gallon, the more economical the car. However in the UK you no longer buy fuel in gallons, but litres like the rest of europe, no wonder its confusing.

4.55l = 1 Imperial gallon.

1km = 0.625 miles.
