I need to sort out some tyres too, R888 at 100 quid a corner look tempting :D

My mate who used to have an Ariel Atom rated THESE as much better than the R888, and only £65 a pop. It's what I'll probably be running.

i would saythese are not better, otherwise all the time attack boys would use these instead, won't be running slicks,i missed out, skodaring is bloody expensive:O

I haven't driven them myself, but as I said, my mate with the Atom drove many trackdays on both R888's and these. R888's have the edge in the dry, but wet or dry they have a sudden break-away with very little predictable drift in the walls. The Hankooks have more tread pattern and thus can displace more water, offering more grip in the wet but slightly compromising dry performance. The high silica compound stands up very well to extreme cornering and drifting and for the money I don't think you can argue. Each to their own, but for me, as they're just for track use I'd rather have another £140 in my back pocket.

i was just putting up what i was reading recently, made interesting reading, the time attack boys run full slicks in the dryr888's in the damp and goodyear f1's for full wet ,i'm still on bridgestones, but after this track ay they will be bald,7k hard miles:eek:i will probably give these or the toyo tr1's a go for my everyday tyres, and get some r888's for dry trackdays:D

Might be testing my new lsd at this event:D

cool. Wouldnt mind a passenger ride if its on off. See what KW's and LSD it like :)

Was gonna get 'em delivered from Camskill @ £65 each, but called Motorsport Wheels and they said £280 fitted. An extra £20 to just have it sorted in a single trip seems well worth it, although they were smarting when I told them Cam's price.

Looks like I'll have the slowest fabia then

Best start taking the back seats out next week :)

So we all meeting up at the services as lited on scoobynet?

I am meeting my mates local then joining the convoy at the trading post at the normanton castleford m62 junction.

If you want to meet up i think gary will be joining the convoy at the brickworks if not you could meet up with us at the trading post if its on your way???

Not sure where you mean. I'll be heading down the M62 if that helps :)

The Brickworks is just off the M62 at J.27. Come off and follow the A650 towards Bradford, but as soon as you get on the A650 turn right to go into Driglington and the pub is 200yds on your left. You can't miss it as it has a 100' (guess) high chimney with 'The Old Brickworks' written on it....

The Trading Post is just off J.32 and come off the big roundabouts following the A656 towards Castleford. Cross the first small rbout within 300yds and immediately there are some traffic lights. Turn right at these and then first left into the pub which has been renamed, 'The Whitwood Inn' I think ???

Or just stay on the 62 and meet everyone at Ferrybridge Services at 730am.
