Foam sprayer

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

Anyone know a good place to get a foam sprayer for my car? Dont want to spend loads tho.

Also, where the cheapest place to get that 'snow' stuff that covers your car and removed the dirt?

Cheers guys:thumbup:

I would like to know this aswell

The pump sprayer will be a waste of time Im afraid. You need one that connects to a hose or a pressure washer. They dont push much product through really, I have one and its relegated to wheel rinsing.

Just emailed the seller asking to cancel the order, is this possible seeing that iv already paid using paypal?

The sprayer will be good for covering a car in APC when it is really dirty etc.

APC mate?

All Purpose Cleaner.

It can strip the wax etc, but if the car is heavily soiled then spraying this over the bodywork, glass, wheels and under the arches and leaving it to sit for a minute before foaming the car means all the nasty stuff comes off easier.

I use a hand sprayer with a diluted stardrops solution and it works a treat even on alloys :)

Well if i can take it back i will and get the super spray hose bottle thing instead.

If not......lesson learnt! Im sure il find some use for it!

I've got an Autobrite foam lance that connects to my pressure washer, they also sell the super snow foam.

Have a look on Detailing World for info including dealer details.

Sometimes there is a group buy and the SSf is on a deal regularily!

Thanks bigal!

There is also currently a big thread going on about the AB lance not fitting karcher handles properly and some people blaming karcher others (myself inc) pointing out it's their design so a compatible product has to change if the original does.

Anyway, worth checking that thread out first or have a look for Raqeul on e-bay :)

Gilmore?

Karcher Foam Lance

I got one of these as a present and its fantastic, mix it with snow foam and you can have an Ibiza foam party whilst washing the car.

varying levels of foam with the 'volume switch' and adjustable nozzle pattern. 2 coats of snow foam with a cuppa coffee in the middle is more than adequate at removing most of the non bonded contaminents.

Edit, seems the link has died  Its one of these :

Coming a bit late to this, but if you've got a Karcher pressure washer John, just buy the foaming lance attachment. There's two - a basic one, and the one with adjustment that Derek has.

Then I use the Super Snow Foam from CleanYourCar. It's great and it's especially useful at this time of year, for breaking down all the road debris and salt that's welded to the car

I leave it on a few minutes, enough time to go inside and fill my two buckets up - then rinse off with the main lance

I bought one of these instead, im sure it wont be as good as the foam lance thing, but it was 8 times cheaper!

I dont have a pressure washer, do they strip the wax off the car at all?

Not in my experience John. IMO, you'd have to go pretty daft with the pressure to strip off a decent wax, and you'd risk damaging the paint and clearcoat anyway. In addition, a lot of the pressure washers aimed at home users don't have variable pressure anyway.

Fair enough, might be something worth looking at for the future of my car cleaning!

I've got a Autobright H/D foam Lance and using the pink snow foam.

Waste of money if you ask me.

I dont seem to get any decent results at all, unless the car is really dirty, and it removed some dirt, but i wouldn't arte snow foam for it's cleaning power.

Well i hope i get some better results.

Il keep you all posted when it arrives.

To be fair, i may be putting it on too thick, but it does run off the car after 5 mins, so not too thick.

I'm just dissapointed in it's cleaning power.

Although i should really add some regular wash to it too.

Have you tried adding a little shampoo into the snow foam?

I find this helps a little but a powerful rinse before and after helps!
