And gues how much it was.......2005 yellow fabia vrs and im 18

Wait for it........£448.98 :D fully comp as the main driver threw our buisiness with 18 months no claims......my old 2002 pd 150 golf was £550 and i expected this to be around £700+ couldn't believe it

Thats an excellent price! WIsh I could have had business insurance when I was your age!

Not sure why you expected your Fabia to be dearer to insure than a 150pd Golf though? (group 9 for vRS, 13 for Golf)

I guess the business isn't spell checking.

 no teehee.....farmer

i just expected it to be as the golf was only insured for 6500 and the fabia is for 9k.......and just declaired a more than 3 points :o

you lucky git mate lol well done

I'm 19 and mine is around £450 through my Dad's fleet policy.

I guess they save money by throwing your documents at you instead of using the post.

if it's business insurance, how are you building up a personal NCB ?

thats a good quote mate, only £100 more than what I'm paying for my vrs at 25.

On the other end of the spectrum I'm 18 with 1 claim 1 sp30 but pass pluss.

My Fabia 1.4 8v 3rd party fire and theft.

£1,200

Jesus H Christ thats giving them a license to print money. I'm knocking on a bit these days, 27 with full no claims, no points and insured for £300.

That's a great price; half the price compared to me (22) to drive a 1.4 fabia.

Speaking from personal experience though, do yourself a favour and get some driver training with the money you saved; at 18 I thought I was a great driver. Then I wrote off my car and still thought I was a great driver. Then a couple of years later I did some training and was amazed I hadn't killed myself back at 17/18, living in the country nailing it around twisty roads.

PS I'm not saying you're not a great driver :)

I still think it comparing chalk and cheese. From the information provided it's business insurance not personal.... so how can he be building up personal NCB ? Wait until he has to get personal insurance ..... that'll hurt the wallet.

thats what i asked our broker.....he said something along the lines of its because im a named driver.....still im confused how it works :o

Git........

I'd double double check.... I don't think thats the case..... otherwise you've found a massive loophole to young driver insurance costs

Got my renewal through this week for my Vrs, £480 with Budget, doesn't sound too bad until you know that I'm 38 with full NCD . Told them to stick it up their VRS and found it for £280 with M&S.

£280, Courtesy Car, £100 Excess, that's not just insurance, that's Marks and Spencer insurance. :D

well , is`nt it just great too be young - dont worry it`ll go down if you stay out of trouble

fabia 1.4 8v fully comp - full N/C £150 paid last time -

you tend to be a bit more careful as you get older

I went through a very silly phase in my first month before I did pass plus when I thaught I was the driving king.. one speeding fine and a car later I realised I'm not.

Man, you lot have it good. I'm 30 with 5 years ncb and just paid £530 ish fully comp. But it's covered for quite a few mods, no excess, protected ncb and a few other goodies. My biggest problem is it's parked on the road and I have a CRAP postcode! Ah well, can't win them all. :)
