Very nice! Look forward to seeing you on some of the Landy forums ;-)

(Those fog lights won't last long!)

My brothers got one. He likes it, but the steering is heavy and vague, and it drinks like theres no tomorrow!

roof rack, no spot lights....

Its 98 ® 42,000 miles.. bodywork is tidy as well.. HPI clear.

I paid....

HOLY CRAP...................

My friend just got back to me with a milage check on the defender.

Very Bad news,

not 42,000 miles

more like 231,000 miles...

Holy christ..

Im gonna have to back out of the deal. Gutted....

I was really looking forward to getting it....:(

bummer, I borrowed one from a mate years ago and swore I would get one, never had so much fun in a car before.

I'm sure you'll find another one soon.

If running gear is ok try nocking them down a wad, quoting trades description act etc etc

Don't let the mileage put you off, renegotiate the price, if the bodywork is sound most parts can be replaced, major place to look would be the chassis for rot.

Have a look on the forums above and ask some questions on there.

Love Defenders... you are not mad at all!

All I would say is that you have got to watch the mileage - if the clock was showing 42K - not 231K then there is something a bit dodgy going on there! I would get my money back and walk away. You are bound to find something better.

I'll offer him about £2800.

dont think he'll take it.

After all the comments on how fun they are, i really do want one.

I just get the impression that that one will be mutton dressed as lamb.

Yes you are mad... you want one like this.. clicky :D:cool:

I used to drive a 110 as part of my job

when i moved jobs the only thing i missed about the old job was the big rattly landy

The 110 was a great beast to drive and it seemed absolutely huge on the road

Saying that, that was in the days before the navaras, warriors and other assorted macho mobiles were running around everywhere
