SWMBO hit a rabbit tonight with her Tigra.

The lower bumper trim is quite well smashed but all the bits still seem to be hanging there.

Just wondering if it's going to be cheaper to repair (if possible) or replace? She had a cracked rear bumper fixed a couple of years ago and it wasn't cheap.

I've no idea about the price of body panels but I know they're not cheap for cars. She doesn't want to claim on the ins if possible.

And the worst bit....she'll have to drive my vrs till it's fixed:eek: and she's a feckin' terrible driver:thumbdwn:

I don't have a picture of the actual damage, it was a bit dark last night and no time this morning. I'll stick up a pic that shows the area of damage where the rabbit went through the bumper.

Vauxhall have quoted £455 +VAT + paint for a new one.

I'm going to try to get a body shop to look at it on Sat morning. I don't think I've much chance of getting a silver one at the breakers.

Talk to an independent bodyshop instead of Vauxhall, they may well be able to sort one out cheaper through their suppliers...
