Featured Replies

Whasup guys...

here is a new GPS fitting that skoda israel is offering for new octavias...

Check it on mine... great way to install a comfortable big screen GPS system...

19247.attach

19248.attach

Interesting idea - not my cup of tea though.

From my understanding you have MFD3...

i prefer the MFD3 over mine for sure... but yours cost 3 times more, so it is great value for money as well as great idea... it is safer too considering that i don't have MAXIDOT so i can't see GPS diractions in the instrument dials, so where it is installed you (almost) don't need to take your eyes off the road...

sorry but that is gut wrenchingly awful.

God that is so so hideous, where is the icon for a sick bucket........

ah you'll be back to skoda (hopefully)

Don't like it. The Miomap or I-go on those runs on PDAs just fine, no need to cripple the dash like that. And the dash cubby is really handy too.

i really didn't find any use to it...

anyway it is nicer to watch DVDs in it too due to a large screen, very satisfied with it...

And where do you stuff the DVD in? The Alpine HU underneath?

I find it pointless to try and watch a movie on a screen as tiny as that, or that of the MFD. Not to mention that the video is cutoff when you start moving.

le: What's that tricorder next to the DSG stick for?

may not be in his country?

no man, you see cars with movies playing while driving all the time in israel... no problem with that...

the cops try to enforce against it... but there are hardly any cops in here so :-)

but you're right about watching DVD in car...

ow well... i guess i have to change the Alpine afterall...

You see cab drivers with portable dvds on their dash over here too, but I'm not a fan of theirs.

A [respectable person] almost hit the guy next to me on a pedestrian crossing looking into his dvd.

It would be ok if it pushed down and only flipped up when you wanted to use it.

Kind of an anti thieving ******* version.
