Vtec bashing... WTF?

That is based on the assumption i wathed the video LOL

But then why have a car that is only any good above 7k rpm or what have you? LOL

Please watch the videos and reread my post. I haven't got a car that's only 'any good' over 7k rpm, I've got a car that pretty rapid below 6k rpm (capable of a 6~ second dash to 60 at low revs) and a stonking car up to 8.5k rpm!;)

I must say the videos are mighty impressive!

Sweet car mate ;)

Well, I can I think rightly assume I may be involved in this in someway..... I'd just like to clarify something...

I happen to love the Vtec engine, it makes one of the greatest noises of any engine when it is revving its nuts off, and the rest of the type r around it is a cracking piece of kit too.

What does make me laugh, is 20 something fools banging on about how crap the fabia is, and how good his two tone civic is. I am a lover of cars in general, not specifically skoda, all cars have some appeal to me in some way or other. He, nor anyone else has been in my car, so to say outright that a civic type r will destroy any fabia is yet again another foolish generisation. I have a mate with a dc5, and its stunning. He cant catch me though ;)

That may be the case Dave but I know which car I'd rather own :)

I'm not sure where your getting that first fact from, my teg's kerb weight is a pretty poultry 1180kg. The civic is not much more...

Agreed. But I've seen a fair few claims of standard fabia's keeping with CTR's though which imo, is BS.

But does he drive like a girl. ;)

My standard ton and a half 2.0 diesel would hit a 100mph a lot faster than that and it would never need to rev beyond 4,750 rpm in any gear:P:rofl:

He has long ginger hair.....my god...........he could be a girl

I engage vtec to embarrass those pesky BMW's. :P

Despite my hatred for all things BMW, I do find the 3/535d mightily impressive! :o

Some girls drive "exceptionally" well..............

I mean look at Sabine Shmitz :)

She is German, like your car.

I wonder how much lube I'll need in order to convince an insurance company to cover for me on a DC5 :rubchin:

I engage nice carpet with the accelerator to dispatch those pesky vtec thingys.:P

It’s a clever engine though, no doubt. I remember reading they had the equivalent of 5 cams when they first came out. I think it was something to do with a cam driving a cam and then there was a different effect that acted like a 5th cam too. I know that sounds vague but there is a germ of truth in it I’m sure.

 You better have some mods to make such claims. :D

I'm afraid not, tbh you'd be lucky to find anybody to offer a quote. APlan and Adrian Flux would be your best bet, but I think you'd be looking around the 3k mark!

I'm 25, 5 years NCD, no accidents, 5 points, great area and pay £975.

It's at this moment in time I want to find your nice white car and throw Mud all over it :D

Mine is the best part off £1,700

OK but thanks for the help anyway

I guess it will just have to wait.

I think I saw a lad on the DC5 forum paying £2900 a year for his DC2 Teg

I wanted to like your car, but it kept going wrong and breaking down, the wait was too long, Honda's are reliable, infact, thats another reason. Had you have done your research first, you wouldn't have got a briefcase of money, opened up a drain and poured it down. All experience for you though.

As for your DC5 comment, I could post that on the DC5 forum and make them all laugh there heads off, that is comical.

Stop getting your itty knickers in a twist Shifty.:rofl:

:gay:

Ok enough of this nonsense, this has gone on long enough.

Snoopie - you've beened warned before about incitement :thumbdwn:
