Anyone fancy a game of something

Was a bit bored and getting annoyed at not being able to run modern games with decent detail, so spanked out on a pair of these babies

Had to do some major re-working to fit them both in my case, moving hard drives, dremmelling a new northbridge heatsink and relocating bits and bobs, but BOYY is it worth it, Previously with my 7800GT i had to keep crysis on low settings and low resolution.. now i can turn the wick almost all the way up!.. Stunning!!! :D:D

What are the coolers like on them?

I ended up getting an ebuyer extra value GTX then spending the money i would have spent on a brand one on a really good silent cooler.

They look very nice anyway... what motherboard have you got then on?

Think my board only supports sli in 8x/8x pci so probably wouldn't run them both.

The coolers are totally silent!. they can be controlled thru the gainward utility or automatically and keep the core-temps quite low, the loudest thing in my PC now are the Raptors. Im still running skt 939, a Asus Nforce-4 deluxe. it was a very tight fit, because the dual slot coolers obscure a row of my SATA ports.

From what i know gainward dont use the Nv reference design, and use better quality memory, so average overclock is 750core and 2100mem (stock is 600core 1800mem or 650/1900 for my GS versions) - a single card comes very close to spanking a GTX, at half the price

Have spent the night playing Crysis... all i can say is OMFG! :eek:

Its a totally different game when you play it on high settings! the alien parts are nothing short of awesome... i think even a tripple 8800ultra would struggle to run the game maxxed out in some parts.. one day eh
