Anyone experienced a bashed wing mirror that now won't adjust without the left hand one adjusting as well in the same direction? Something electrical.

Thought mine was a gonna but it survived quite well after a lady drove through it instead of around it. The glass is intact and pushed back in to position. There is a crack in the plastic case but think I will leave it as it will get hit again no doubt.

Is your adjusting switch on drivers door set to 'L&R' as this adjusts both mirrors at the same time?

The left adjusting with your right is a feature on the VAG range. Dial set to R will auto track your left. I find it works quite well and *alot* of folk never notice, just go oh it's already right and drive off.

Some little oik decided to take a swipe at my mirror the other night and broke the housing...glass and internals are okay, but gaa it pishes me off, just glad it had a big old cornish birdpoo on it, or used too :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yes, it was in the R position when I tried it. Never realised that before, thought it was the both positons only. Any idea how much the top (body coloured) and bottom (black) plastic sections are to replace? DIY fit?Assume they're expensive from Skoda.

Someone coming the other way (probably on a mobile phone or something ) knocked my mirror (and didn't stop ).

Had to have it replaced as the internal mechanics had been broken - total cost about 140 drinking tokens :cry:
