Chrysler crossfire

Featured Replies

Found myself overtaken on a dual carriageway by one of these, just as we came to a

steep incline, slipped in behind him and 'toed-it', stayed right behind him and was even

having to back off a bit, assumed he was just not interested, but I went past him as he

exited on inside of a roundabout and he was doing the 'whats that' look at my car....

Remember Top Gear saying these were cr*p, but I thought they were supposed to

have some level of performance? was a bit surprised.

( Not just another 'my vrs is quicker than thread' either ) :)

I remember Clarkson saying they were crap because they weren't a Merc! 155 and 0-60 in 6.3 I guess he wasn't playing! Crap or not they make a nice sound. Clarkson does like to talk ******** for the sake of entertainment sometimes.

Clarkson said they were crap thanks to the budget aspect of the interior. Hard shiny plastic is the theme in a Crossfire. Sitting in one is the nearest thing to sitting in a wheelie bin.

Underneath it's a MK1 SLK. Fugly but bulletproof.

:OYeah, googled it and found spec, V6 and pretty lively........

Perhaps the 'whats that look' I reported was more of a 'whats that w"nker in the

sh!tty skoda playing at' look

He was probly thinking "i wish id bought one of those skodas and saved a few Quid"

He was probably thinking I wish I'd bought this secondhand as I think the depreciation is a bit scary:eek: - probably thanks to Clarkson - still it puts a Crossfire within the bounds of "cheap" ownership, if only just to try out and see if JC was right.

Dealer near me has a 53reg Crossfire, 3.2V6 auto up for £11.5k.

Cost over £26k new!

This mate was mad, Irish and female! There was no way I was going to start and argument while she was driving!
