New octy VRS what colour???

Featured Replies

Bit of an add-on question on colour. Haven't had my metallic red car for long but today noticed the inner door frames are PAINTED METAL visible as no trim cover (not that common these days). Its not TOO bad as the red is quite dark but I'd imagine lighter colours really stand out. Is that the case to all those white/silver/yellow owners out there?

If it is that would definately be the decider for me to have a black one!!!!

Race Blue Octy IIs look stunning - but have no idea how easy they are to keep clean looking.

Silver - a doddle, they always look clean

I find my race blue octy quite easy to keep clean, doesn't look too bad even with a little bit of dirt on it.

I'm with TigerSteve; I've got the blue as my little boy would have been gutted with any other colour but would have been tempted with white had it been available when I bought my vRS (I like washing cars by the way!)

Find the blue easy to keep looking clean (Alloys are always the worst thanks to the massive amount of brake dust cause by those mighty large brake pads!)

Shame they dont do the VRS in White.............

Maybe they do? ;)

They do for Europe and Ireland and IIRC a white vRS can be obtained in UK by 'special order'.

Yep, you need to order it in red (they charge for yellow now) then get the dealer to put in a spec change form, changing the colour from red to white.

....... (they charge for yellow now) ........

Well that's a sure way for no-one to buy one; they were rare enough when yellow was within the basic RRP!

I think it's because it's only avaliable on the Octavia vRS and Fabia sport (they charge for it on the Fabia too) it's not viable enough in the quantaties they make it in for it to be free.

Although when I was in the dealer the other day the order computer still had it as a no cost, but the brochure said it was the same cost as metalic

Still can't believe I am the only Silver TFSI Estate owner on here... you'd have though that a Silver VAG Estate would be as common as a Pete Doherty hang-over

I know of three Silver TFSI estates in Aberdeen. Guess there not in touch enough to be on this site. I have a Blue estate which although appears to be as common as muck, I've never seen another one on the go in Aberdeenshire. (loads of blue hatches though).

Oh yes they do, just ordered one & coming this Thursday 01st May

I have a black one and it's murder to keep clean...even a short trip after washing and it's dirty lookin' again. On the up side it's still the best colour option as far as I'm concerned.
