The Superb brochure says the Cargoflex system is a factory fitted option ie not a retailer supplied accessory.

As a guide, it costs around 200 pounds sterling.

When shopping for a Superb, I found one with "cargoflex" in the boot. (The car was a dog). The thing is a waste of space and a few cardboard boxes and elastic straps hooked on to the rings in the boot would do a better job.

The thing you really need in a Superb is folding rear seats (model year '05>). Pity they didn't do it properly.

I have the Cargoflex in mine, its useful at times, but i wouldn't pay extra for it.

Can't see any reason why it can't be retro fitted tho.

It's my understanding that it just replaces your normal boot carpet.........can you put some pics up Gizmo68?

Here are a few photo's so you all know what is included in the CargoFlex storage system.

The carpet also has two sturdy plastic runners attached to enable the 6 rollers on the base of the CargoFlex system to slide back and forth easily.

1. CargoFlex stored in closed position.

2. rear of handle & operating cable.

3. Operating mechanism

4. CargoFlex open & in rear position

5. CargoFlex open & in forward position.

6. Securing catch mounted to body.

Fairly complex piece of kit and can see why it costs around £200.......

I first thought it would be a gimmick and never get used, however it can be really useful putting the heavy weekly shopping in, pushing it to the front and putting the lighter stuff on the boot floor, meaning you don't have to worry too much on the way home about everything rolling around the boot and squashing the bread etc ! :eek:

looks more impressive and useable than I thought - does it interfere with the folding rear seat much? or getting the spare wheel out?

Mine is an 04 car so is a couple of months too old for the folding seats, I'm not sure if it can be fitted with them?

The spare wheel is still accessible tho'

It's been a while, but I have an idea that the cargoflex is incompatible with the folding seat. Anyone out there got both?

Looks like it sits in the rear seat recess to me.........:confused:

I use a couple of those fold flat plastic boxes as my "Cargo Flex" system. They cost 89p each from Tesco but don't seem as robust. Still - I can buy quite a few for £200 and they can easily be removed!

I must admit, a foldable crate and a couple of bungees do exactly the same job for much less.

So true! Also I have been using a plastic box with a bungee straps to hold it in place and filled it with refill oil can and washing fluid amongst other needed stuff..

Of course if CargoFlex would be already installed in my car it would be fine but otherwise I would not personally pay for it.

I bought the Cargo Net which for less than £20 is a great piece of kit.........

Was hanging around the showroom waiting to collect my car from its final in-warranty service, and thumbed through the latest Superb brochure. If cargoflex is fitted you don't get the folding rear seats. A no-brainer then.

I do not have Cargoflex in my car, but did build a box and covered it in the same carpet as the rest of the boot (bought a roll from Halfrauds)

Made to fit the boot, with two little latches, neat touch for my boot, as I have to carry site stuff, and was fed up with a load of rubbish in my boot all over the place.

Hi. I have cargo flex and want to remove it. If you can tell me how to get it out then you can have it with my pleasure.

Having a cargo flex in my car I can tell you that in the folded postion it really robs you of some boot space. A right pain when going on holiday etc and you could do with that little extra extra space.

Don't put one in, your really not missing anything.
