Came out to go to work at 6.15 this morning and found a bloody traffic cone on the roof of the Fabia.:cussing:

Took it off nice and gently and it appears that there is a massive deep scratch running across the roof where they have slid it on. Absolute A-holes. :blow_up:

Was raining and still semi-dark so not sure if the roof is dented or there are anymore scratches.

Had just polished it on Tuesday and commented to the wife it was now 2 and a half years old and still had not a single scratch or dent.

At least the BMW was in the garage, but I might be tempted to put the Fabia in the garage at weekends now too (although the missus complains she can't get the garage door open )

Thing is, there are no roadworks anywhere near my house so someone must have carried it for ages to get there. Can't understand why people think this is funny. I admit to placing cones on the roof of the local shop in my younger years but never damaged anyones property.

I'll be in a bad mood for the rest of the week now.

Is the stratch really deep? No chance of polishing it out then?

Really bugs me does the total ignorance and lack of respect people have these days!!!!

Might find the lacquer is all that's broken, and a going over with a clay might smooth off the scratch and hide the worst of it.

Failing that, the entire roof might need a respray to get it back to looking as good as it did before.

And I bet they thought it was really funny. W***kers

Don't finish work until 7 tonight so it'll be dark by the time I get home but might whip it into the garage and do a proper investigation.

Will try and sort it by hand on Monday but a going over with a PC might be invaluable. Cheers for the offer, I'll let you know how it goes
