Try fitting xenon kits to get (pseudo)bi-xenon flashing them creates just the right effect...

See a few similar Zafira's as well, looks like they're replacing the current stock of ageing Volvo V40's.

Silver 56 plate TDi VRS on loan from Skoda, covert fittings (grille/flashing heads/front fogs/dash blues/rear blues/rear flashing reds in lamp cluster/100w siren). Goes back on Wednesday but has been used, by me, in this area over the last 3 weeks. I am smitten, though trial 2.0TDi L&K in a fortnight for a week, so may love the toys as much/more.

RE Modified Police cars - in a recent issue of Total Vauxhall, they did a feature on Strathclyde (IIRC...) Police, who had Reshelled Vectra VXR's - ie, Vectra SRi Bodytrim and interior, with full VXR Running Gear - Engine, Gearbox, Suspension, Brakes etc

They're not reshelled or anything fancy. They're built by Vauxhall's SVO (Special Vehicles Operations) department. All SVO Vauxhalls come with sports seats, the more powerful engines, and have most of the wiring used by the Police. They come off the line semi-built VXRs and are finished off with whatever specific options the customer wants. Fire and Ambulance would buy SVO too.

Over here all the Vauxhalls are SVO - 2.2 petrol, 1.9CDTi and 2.8V6 Turbo (aka VXR) Vectras. Very few Vauxhalls joining the fleet now, though - mostly Skodas, VWs, a few Fords. Obviously Skoda's new slaes person is hotter than Vauxhall's one.

I do miss my vRs sometimes.

Was just having a steady cruise home last night with the roof off.Next thing,nearly got blown into the hedge by the local Plods vRS blasting past and overtaking me everything blazing,lights etc

Looked fast from where I was ! (Walsall have a mk 1 still,liveried up and very smart)
