I Pumped Myself

Featured Replies

Well today i took the plunge and attempted to install the Autotech Fuel Pump myself.

Had been told it was easy to do and it just required precision:rolleyes:

So me and the old man set about it today. Now some people can do this in about an hour.:finger::P

It took me and the old man just over 2:eek: But to be fair it took about 40 minutes to get TDC.

Anyhow i must say it really is quite straight forward and easy to do. I did find a few discrepancies with the instructions in relation to the tools required

If anyone wants to do this themselves then you need the following special tools(this is assuming you know how to get to the point of having set TDC and accessing the pump)

1 x T30 Torx bit (not the T25 that it says in the instructions thats only if you are going to strip the pump completley)

1 x 17mm Open Ended Spanner

1 x 18mm Long Socket

1 x Autotech Fuel Pump:rofl:

Now although i did this just me and my old man a big Thumbup goes to Ian (Hedge) for e-mailing some technical stuff(was a big help:thumbup:) and also to VRStu who put up with about 50 or so phonecalls from me whilst i checked i was doing things right:thumbup:. So Cheers Guys:thumbup: ill buy you a beer sometime

Anyway did around 15miles in it before and its all fine and dandy so far

Now just gotta get it on a set of rollers to find out just what my beloved Blue Bullet is now pumping out

Carl:thumbup:

Glad to hear it went well (ish).

Nice work mate.

Good stuff Carl, be sure to enjoy the benefits ;)
