OEM Symphony/CD changer diagnosis?

Featured Replies

Any ideas how to check if the cd player is working? Head unit says it's not connected and the changer won't even eject. Is it even worth the bother?

What are the pin identities on the changer connection?

Any help greatfully appreciated by fairly newbie.

If it turns on:rofl:

But on a serious note, take out the unit and check the iso connectors for being loose, loose or worn wires or dodgy connections. could any number of things, but keep an eye on the cabling mate:thumbup:

Ta...checked out and resoldered but still up the creek! Mmmm...some copper has left a CD in the magazine...might just have to trash the player...shame really. Might have been water damaged- wee puddle inside bulkhead where changer mounted and foam wrap round connection block wet.

Not sure but I took one to bits a while ago and can;t remember if there is an internal fuse or not - might be worth having a look before you dump it.

Clean up that damp connector and also fix the pipe that carries the rear screen wash at the same time.
