Not coming in the fabia :P Prepare to be wasted ;)

Looking good matey :D

Im not sure how different the space is in the fabia to the ibiza but when my 2nd allard vt2 turbo blew up in spectacular style lloyd told me how to take it off, and i managed to do that in about 3 hrs tops. Was a bit fidly as i didnt have any axle stands at the time, but managed to do most of it from the top of the engine as apposed to underneath the car.

Enjoy the new found power, hybrid turbos are awsome :D

lol,i believe your mouths writing checks your skills can't cash my friend:rofl::rofl::rofl:

hmmmm maybe a bit of pot calling kettle here,i'm the worlds worst track driver:D

Your clutch and diff will balance out your lack of skill :D

Here comes a silly question(sorry)

why is there a blanking plate on top of the manifold? is it because the EGR has been removed?

Respect. You must have been born in Sweden or somewhere equally as cold.:)

Anyway be interested to see more piccies as you progress. Turbo looks mean.

I am enjoying it,

Nice to get outside in the fresh air and do something hands on, instead of sat inside on the laptop doing hydraulic modelling ;)

A lot of that looks strangely familiar :rubchin:

Keep up the good work fella!

Oh, and make sure the turbo outlet pipe is rotated correctly before putting it on the car ;)

Thankyou and good luck hope all goes well:thumbup:

Turbo is on :D

Now just to put everything else in place and run the engine up nice and slow

I think it might be a good idea when ive got the turbo oil feeds in place to pump some fresh oil up the oil feed and into the turbo before connecting the feed at the oil filter end?? what do you guys recon could I mess it up by doing this? It seems logical to me but the good old haynes doesnt care

If you can get some oil into the lines, then sure. I couldn't, and was assured that it would be ok, just let the engine idle for a good 10 minutes before giving the engine ANY revs at all. :)

DO make sure you dribble as much oil into the turbo as you can though.

Thanks Tom

Will Pump some into the housing before attaching the line then. Then try and feed some down the line before attaching the front end.

Its all exciting now. Now just got to wait before it can be mapped

Off to the dealer now to pick some bits, slumming it in the xc90 ;)
