I dont normally blow the trumpet for car garages unless they are very good. I dont very often have to visit them either because unless I need a diagnostic computer or paint work doing I do everything else myself. But my local dealership Hortons of Lincoln I have to say is probably the best most professional garage I have ever been to (Dennis Horton and Son Skoda | Skoda Dealer Based In Lincolnshire). Twice I have had to take my 2001 plate Fabia Tdi in for bodywork under the 10 year anti perforation warranty. And twice I feel that the service I have received from the polite and courteous staff has been excellent. Both times my car has been repaired with no cost to myself other than to pay for fuel in the courtesy car and everything they have said they would do has been done with no fuss. Only once has it been in for mechanical work when I booked in for a cambelt change which again was done with minimal fuss. I regularly use the parts department which is staffed by a very good friend of mine from my college years who knows his stuff and usually knows exactly which bits I need if ever I have a mechanical problem with my car (he is also a Briskodian on this site and regularly answers peoples questions). But my friend working there aside I have always been impressed with Hortons from the day I first started using them they even sit you in a little lounge with free tea, coffee and biscuits while you wait! I dont have any personal experience with the sales team but if the rest of the outfit are to go by them I would say they are very good. So to anyone within reach of Horton Skoda in Lincoln and are thinking of trying a new dealer or using a Skoda dealer for the first time I highly recommend that you give Hortons a try.
