noticed some smoke from exhaust today for about a mile,had been sitting idle with car running,car was running fine suddenly stopped, oil is halfway on dipstick ,any ideas? octy mk1 vrs :confused:

As long as it's not Blue smoke you should be ok

IIRC there was a thread a while back about this. I think it ended up being condensation in exhaust from the idle.

Thats if it ain't using any oil.

its a new engine,so is using more oil than it was ,but seems to be ok now fingers crossed

it could have been over filled, and sucked some oil into the engine through a breather pipe or something.....
