Toms Red 06 Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Well thought I may as well ge a thread up. :)

I bought this car on 20th Feb 2008 with 19k on the clock, in red with 17s, and standard other than the jumbo pack (electric rear windows, jumbo box and dual zone climate control). Before I even collected the car, Stu fitted cruise for me!! (cheers fella!)

Since then its had a Pipercross panel filter (swapped for a pint of Diet Coke with Carl - Mater - thanks :D), a Briskoda tax disk holder, 20mm spacers on the back, and a set of 18" Zeniths! :)

Plenty of mods still to come - got a Forge Diverter valve ready to go on and a VF Engineering intake  on order from those wonderful people at JKM

Just a few pics for now. :)

Thanks for looking :)

So what car are you buying next month then?...........:D

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Looks good Tom (for a red un') - is this still classed as budget motoring?

On a serious note - looks mint mate, seen a few red ones about and they look spot on  Real road pressence, hope you invest well and enjoy it for at least a year :D

Nice Tom. Did it not come with 18's? :P

Needs lowering.

Nice one :)

Looking great matey :)

dont see many red ones, nice one mate, looks good, an vf engineering intake, didnt know they did induction kits, but if they are as good as there mounts look should be top class, enjoy matey, you bringing her to the north wield day?

Nice looking Octy Tom, luv the red quite rare colour to see, don't get carried away with the old credit card:D

Steve

Very nice, looks a good clean example

Must admit, They do look fantastic in Red...

And I like the vrs number plate

If I was you I would get the Zenith's done in black, that would look great IMO, and then colour code the grill

A red vRS you say? I had no idea ;)

Looking good mate

Colour coded grille will happen very soon, and I've got something up my sleeve for the wheels ;)

Yes, it will be coming to North Weald :)

It sure is a clean example, theres nothing on the car at all to suggest its not brand new tbh! :) No chips, dings, scratches etc, nothing. There is a minor paint bubble on the spoiler though which I may or may not get looked at :)

And I like the vrs number plate:thumbup:

I love the look of the plates, very pleased with them! :) They were however extremely expensive (just under £40 for the pair!) from GT Graphix, but the quality isn't quite as good as you'd expect for the money. :(

Still love them though! :D

I got mine from them.

Mine were £50ish though as I went for the 3D raised carbon fibre numbers with the vRS badges like yours

Phooowwwarrrr, it will be a red one for me next year. The black full leather seats will look spanking if I can get them.........................

Looks good Tom but it will look even better by the time I have finished with it.........

Bought on the 20th March eh!, a magnificent acheivement if I may say so considering I saw you in it at the last Newbury meet in February :rubchin: ;)

Looking good though Tom and you'll love it even more when you go StageI and then II :D:thumbup:

PS. Can you not 'fix' the pics rather than linky's?

Can't do that with pics in Members Cars unfortuatley... bit silly really.

Yep, was the 20th Feb I bought it

Looks very nice Tom... sounds like you've got big plans for it.. :)

Enjoy the new car.

The car looks the nuts mate, even better in red. :D

Love the car. Only came across this thread by chance, never knew you were thinking of changing cars.

Looking good Tom - red is the best colour for Octys!

I kinda wasn't - its all Steve's fault!!! I knew the Passat would one day be replaced by something with a 2.0TFSI engine, and then I drove Steves fettled one and knew I had to own one sooner rather than later! :P

Then Stu stepped in and found me an aweseome deal - so he too is personally responsible for me having the debt of a small developping country!!

No regrets so far - done 2500 miles so far at an average of 30mpg, and couldn't be happier!!! I used to be a dieselhead, but must say I'm a convert to the petrol side!! :)

Cheers everyone for the positive comments!!! Thought I'd be the laughing stock of Briskoda having a red one, but seems thats not the case after all!! I knew I wanted a red one though, first documented here!

Took you long enough to get pics up mate. Ive been keeping an eye out since you mentioned getting one.

Looks awsome:thumbup: I really love that red.

Chris, your mats will make it into the car one day too, they're currently in the garage with an old table upside down on them to flatten them out!!:rofl:
