I'm sorry, it was a flipant comment :o

Jumbo Box is a fancy name for the centre arm rest with storage space (and air con!), has an Aux input for an MP3 player too

Only MY07 onwards have the MP3 connection though :(

And although the viper stripes arrived, they won't be going on the car anytime soon - they MAY make an appearance for an event/trip sometime, but not going on the car for the hell of it. :)

I take it thats with regards to the lack of MP3 socket rather than the viper stripes not going on!!:rofl:

Well a small update to the car - fitted a Forge Diverter Valve yesterday - what a fun job that is!!!

Space is pretty tight in that area, and its a little tricky routing the hoses so they don't kink, or run near anything hot. Took a good 2hrs to fit, so I hope its worth it.

The old standard diverter valve was a C revision, and wasn't torn.

I'll get a couple of pics up later. :)

All that said, I think I may be looking for an alternative solution to the Forge, as I still think having a valve that close to the turbo is a design fault. Also the vacuum take off near the 3 way valve off the inlet manifold isn't great in my humble opinion, and it also means you end up with a huge long length of hose...

We'll see what the future brings though, for now I'm just happy I wont have a failing DV when the new software goes on :)

I didn't know you had them:eek: I was just joking when I said it, how spooky is that?

Think Skoda should be done under Trade Descriptions for that name anyway. There's nothing 'jumbo' about it whatsoever! :D

Steve

It's the alternative of a tardis, big on the outside, big enough for a mars bar and a bag of crisps on the inside.

Its been bugging me for ages knowing there were remains of old number plate sticky pads on the car, so I removed all them today - because I'm a wee bit anal  Did put the Briskoda number plate surround on too, but took it off again as it simply doesnt suit my car with my plates. :(

Cleaned the exhast up today too, took about an hour with loads of autosol and plenty of cloths...

Will make an effort to keep it shiny now methinks, never want to spend that long polishing an exhaust ever again!!!

Something tells me that you like this car! ;)

He's going to be mortified when he gets his first n/s front alloy scratch. :)

Spoiler Paint Defect

Fitted some Briskoda stickers today too...

Briskoda banners in the rear quarter windows...

And an external Briskoda.net sticker above the headlight. Bit annoyed with this as I ordered 2 stickers, and neither of them had and dots on them - should they??

Also gave the engine bay a good scrubbing and dressing...

Gave the interior a full going over too, leather feed, aerospace 303 on the plastics and a jolly good hoovering, but as they all look the same, I wont bore people with more pics!

Thats it for today! :P

Damn right I do. I'm extremely irritated about a couple of things at the moment though, like the rear reflector thats broken, a small dink in the rear bumper and a scratch on the back bumper also - will be happy when they are fixed... oh, and did someone say Revo? ;)

One of my alloys is kerbed already, own stupid fault... :( But thats a good excuse to get them all refinished a nice grey colour ;)

The car looks the nuts mate, even better in red. :D

Seconded :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Glad you found some things to tinker with. When I read this post http://briskoda.net/forums/octavia-ii/j-d-power-survey-2008-a/105253/2/#post1218046 I thought it wouldn't last the week before being traded in for one with some quirks :P

Exhaust looks good mate and the engine bay also looks great...............I am going to have to get some of the 303 Aerospace Protectant.............

Yes you should. This stuff really is brilliant. The subtle sheen it gives interior plastics is ace, and durable too. Its also good to use on rubber seals too.

Not great photos, but I'll post them anyway!
