100W bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi, I want to replace my existing headlight bulbs with 100w ones. Will these damage the plastic lens?

I used 100 watts in the main beam of my Furbie vRS.........No issues with the plastic lens but there not on for long and the airflow on the lens would keep the plastic cool...Don't know about just the headlights

I too had 100W bulbs in the high beams of my Furbie, made an impressive difference. Wasn't too keen putting them in the low beams as I run with them on most of the time.

Why not try Osram Nightbreakers, they are standar 55w but do make a huge difference to my Octy II.

getting a goood set of 55w bulbs is better imo as youl have to change them at MOT time usually. dont bother with blue tints on the bulbs either as this filters out a lot of the useful light.

On my last couple of cars, I've run Philips Rallye 100W bulbs as main beam and Osram Silverstars and then Philips Xtreme 55W bulbs as dipped beam. The Xtremes were really good and I'd highly recommend them. I did run the main beams for a couple of hours a few times (gotta love 2am country lane driving!) without issue.

My current car has H4's so I've opted for Osram Nightbreakers. A great bulb on dipped beam, but on main beam I miss my 100W'ers :(

I use 130's with no probs :)

As above, i have 100w mains, osram silverstars for dipped, and blu-visions for sides.. the silverstars make a big difference over standard... the 100w ones are amazing!.
