Hello there!

Hi people.

I'm the madman who just traded an 02 Focus Zetec 1.8 petrol for an 02 Fabia SDI 1.9 diesel sedan (1 lady owner who serviced it every 8000 miles).

And in my humble opinion, the Skoda's a better car - better breaks, better gearbox, better build, 50%+ less fuel cost and a more satisfying experience to drive.

I know You mostly own VRS's but the SDI is really not as slow as you'd think at moterway speeds;) I mostly drive my daily 110 miles on my own so it's not carrying much wieght. Also the massive 64bhp is peaking at the right speeds.

Only bad thing is I had put a nice stereo in the Focus which is missed. Moving forward though, just got enclosures for 6x9s since the shelf on the Fabia Saloon looks like a b**h to mod.

Hope everyone is well and thanks for all the good info.

Peter.

welcome to briskoda, I went from a focus to the fabia and I have to admit it is more a quality car than the focus, handling is not good as the focus after spending 6000 miles driving it, but not bothered puts a smile on my face every time I drive the car

Hello :)

Welcome.

Lots of info in the ICE section, and if you can't find what you're you're looking for after a search, just pop a question :)

Cool, thanks for the welcome.

I think that someone had put oversize tyres on my Focus made it not as good as it should have been, it skidded easily for some reason.

Anyway no probs with the Fabia, definitely a feel good car.

Peter.

110 miles a day - I'm not surprised you bought a slow diesel :)

Welcome :D

I like your edit

Misspelled somthing
;)

Hello & welcome :)

There are a lot of people on here that don't have a vRS.

Ben
