wouldnt imagine changing a wheel bearing would cost too much to get done. but i might be wrong!

which one has gone out of interest, and what are the symptoms of it going?

Thats quite early for a bearing to go i would have thought anyway good luck hope Skoda will do it for you:thumbup:

Had one done about 5 months ago was about £110 iirc. Bodge my symptoms where a droning sound as I steered right turned out to be driver side front so I presume as the load on that wheel reduced it started vibrating HTH

Oh realy, not just me then!! How old is your Octi then?? And did you get it done under warranty?

Wheel bearings seem to be a regular problem with VAG cars. Speak to people you know with polos, A3's Octavias etc and wheel bearings seem to fail anything from 30000m upwards. Now I'm told that its not just the bearing replaced but on some models the whole hub including the abs sensor
